The University Hospital of Muenster (UKM) is one of the largest German hospitals offering top-quality care. Excellent specialists in the fields of medicine and nursing as well as highly developed medical technology ensure optimal diagnosis and therapy in all areas of modern medicine.
The UKM employs 10,000 people from 96 countries. Every year around 43,000 people are treated as inpatients at the UKM. For this purpose, there are about 1,300 beds available. There are 100 buildings and 20,000 rooms on the grounds of the hospital. About 65 per cent of all the clinics (inpatient and outpatient clinics) are housed in the Main Clinical Center.

International Patient Management
The treatment of international patients can take place in all the clinics and departments of the UKM. The Office of International Patient Management is the main contact and coordination centre for these patients.
In addition to medical care, a special service is available to foreign patients, including, among other things, interpreters, a prayer room, culturally adapted cuisine, and patient transport. If requested by the patient, the UKM organises the accommodation of possible companions in suitable apartment complexes or hotels in Muenster.
