UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS: PROJECT SCOPE: STUDIO B BY BETTINARDI For its Studio B flagship in Oak Brook, Ill., golf equip-ment retailer Bettinardi (Tinley Park, Ill.) worked with design firm RGLA Solutions (Schiller Park, Ill.) to build a uniquely tai-lored golf experience that speaks to the brand’s values of heritage, craftsmanship, innovation and creativity. With a street location secured near the Oakbrook Mall, the design needed to convert an office and training facility into a high-end experiential golf boutique. Ultimately, the flagship “stemmed from the desire to create an elevated golf boutique experi-ence that celebrates the Bettinardi brand and its tour-quality, performance-based putters and wedges while also offering CONVERSION: Specialty Store, Sales Area Under 10,000 SQ. BEFORE Technology was a key component of the design, creating experiential spaces for customers to try gear and merchandise without leaving the store. While cut-ting-edge technology aids the custom-ers with purchases, high-end materials and luxe finishes create an ambience of quality craftsmanship. An exclusive in-store space called the “Hive” is “a special vault dedicated to exhibiting high-end putters and exclusive headcovers,” says Anna Bullis, Designer, Environmental Design Manager, RGLA Solutions. “This unique space will showcase the pinnacle of craftsmanship, where golfers can mar-vel at exclusive creations and limited-edition models.” 36 SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2024 | VMSD.COM
