Locate your state homeschool group at home-school.com Go to the Groups menu and pick your state.

Search your state group’s website for your state homeschool laws and how to comply. Look for “Legal” or “Getting Started,” etc.

Locate your local support group. These are on the page for your state, in the area underneath the state group(s) listing.

Join 360,000 homeschoolers & Like our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/PracticalHomeschooling.

Subscribe to a homeschool magazine. Naturally, we’d like it to be Practical Homeschooling.

Read “how to” books about homeschooling. Your library has plenty! And speaking of the library, they are the single greatest source for free curriculum in the form of books, DVDs, etc.

Go to home-school.com’s Getting Started section. We also have sections with additional information for each age group.

Locate curriculum. Visit the “Mall” area of home-school.com. Also, carefully check out the advertisements in this issue.

Visit your local teachers store. They have great workbooks, educational toys and games, and school supplies.

Join Home School Legal Defense Association (hslda.org). It’s an investment in educational freedom & includes many benefits.
