Industrial developers continue to build in the Midwest because demand remains heightened, outpacing sup-ply. The only question is, how long will it last? Developers are a bit more cautious going into the fourth quarter in case tenants start to pull back due to economic headwinds. While some institutional owners have paused transaction activity in the retail market due to economic un-certainty, private capital has stepped up to the plate.
